Some firms know precisely what they want to build — the permissions, the use case, the target market — but do not have the commercial product capability to get it built. Hiring for that at the right level takes time and usually costs more than the programme warrants. We act as the commercial product team for the duration.
We write the product specification, defining what the product needs to do commercially, how it prices, and what it requires from each of the parties involved. We then select and manage the vendors — processor, gateway, scheme connectivity, banking partner — negotiate the terms, and run the onboarding with the schemes and the banks.
We stay with the programme through testing and launch, dealing with the providers directly, and resolving the issues that always appear between the specification and the live environment. What you are left with when we finish is a working product, the contracts that underpin it, and the documentation to run it without us.
Managed Development engagements are scoped as projects with defined deliverables and a defined end. The scope is agreed in writing before we begin. Where scope changes arise during the programme — and they usually do — we raise them with you and agree how to handle them rather than absorbing them into the work.
